What is PRINCE2® ?

PRINCE2 is Projects In Controlled Environments, Version 2. It is a generic project management methodology developed and owned by the UK Government. Originally developed for IT projects, PRINCE2 is generic & suitable for any project size or industry sector. The method is subject to regular refreshes and the current version; PRINCE2: 2009 was published on June 16th, 2009.

Since release in 1996 the method has been used in all continents by thousands of organizations and over 400,000 individuals have received certification at the Foundation or Practitioner levels.
